Information We Collect
Profile Screenshots
When you upload a screenshot of your LinkedIn profile, we process the image to extract text and analyze your profile content. This may include your name, headline, job titles, company names, skills, education, and other professional information visible in the screenshot.
Usage Data
We may collect information about how you access and use the App, including device type, operating system version, app version, and usage patterns. This helps us improve the App's functionality and user experience.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to LinkMax Pro, your subscription is managed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple processes all payments and provides us with basic subscription status information (active, expired, etc.) but not your financial details.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Analyze your LinkedIn profile and provide scores and recommendations
- Generate personalized critiques and optimized profile versions (Pro subscribers)
- Power Link Buddy's AI-driven career coaching features (Pro subscribers)
- Improve the App's functionality and user experience
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
- Send important updates about the App or your subscription
Third-Party Services
OpenAI
When you use LinkMax's AI features, your profile text is sent to OpenAI's API to generate analysis, recommendations, and responses. We use OpenAI's Business API, which:
- Does NOT train models on your data: Your data is not used to improve OpenAI's models
- Processes data securely: All data is encrypted in transit
- Limited retention: OpenAI may retain limited logs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring purposes

Apple App Store
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy practices are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your profile screenshots and analysis results only as long as necessary to provide you with the requested services. You can delete your profile data at any time within the App. When you delete data or uninstall the App, your profile information is permanently removed from our systems.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt-out: Decline to use AI-powered features if you prefer not to share data with third parties
- Cancel subscription: Cancel your LinkMax Pro subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings

Children's Privacy
LinkMax is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.
International Users
If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
